Lima, ThisFabTrek is 8 and it is Peruvian Independence Day.

In Lima we stay at Toño's and ThisFabTrek is 8, mid week we move to Barranco, where we hang out with the hippies, later is the weekend and Independence Day on plaza de armas.

Daniel, David and I get down on the ground, sit on the pavement right in the center of action of so many parading and dancing groups from all parts of Peru. The women and men wear traditional costumes and the skirts turn and touch us with every move, others are dressed with more exotic masks and dress, the whistles and 20 fold brass strike a shrill tone, penetrate the heart and the many drums are felt in the deep of the bones; it is loud indeed.

There would be much more on the program and center stage, just we fall over of exhaust and hunger, return to Barranco and pizza past nightfall.
